For our clients, we are seeking to appoint a motivated Accounting and Reporting Expert to join their team in Sofia.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly accounting for investment activities.
  • Participate in general ledger closing procedures.
  • Provide accurate analysis and prepare statutory, external, and internal reports for annual and quarterly financial statements.
  • Responsible for accounting, analysis, and reconciliation of reinsurance and financial transactions in the CEE region; perform fair value revaluations per IAS 21.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Group reporting packages following Solvency II framework and IFRS standards.
  • Contribute to annual planning with relevant analysis and reports, including liquidity reports.
  • Support communication with internal and external auditors.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes, Group regulations, and policy developments to ensure compliance.

 

The profile:

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance (ACCA qualification or part-time qualified will be advantageous).
  • Previous experience in accounting and controlling.
  • Proficient working level of English.
  • Excellent technical skills in MS Excel; working knowledge of SAP FI and MS Access will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, IAS, IFRS, taxation, and financial regulations will be advantageous.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a proactive approach.
